The West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission, West Virginia Council for Community and Technical College Education, the West Virginia Department of Education, and West Virginia GEAR UP are thrilled to invite you to "Navigating New Horizons: Empowering Educators & Students in a Changing Landscape," an essential event designed to equip educators with the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to thrive in an ever-evolving educational landscape.

In today's rapidly changing world, educators and stakeholders play a pivotal role in guiding students toward success. This event aims to empower stakeholders with the insights, strategies, and tools necessary to navigate new challenges and seize emerging opportunities effectively.

Key Highlights:

Dynamic Breakout Sessions: Engage in interactive breakout sessions led by seasoned educators and industry experts, covering a diverse range of educational pathways and tracks such as working with underserved and first-generation populations, providing more college- and career-readiness opportunities, how to better support student success, innovations in instruction and supporting the whole student, and much more.

Inspirational Keynote Addresses: Gain valuable insights and inspiration from renowned thought leaders in education who will share their expertise and vision for the future of teaching and learning.

Networking Opportunities: Connect with fellow educators, administrators, and industry professionals from across the region. Share best practices, collaborate on innovative ideas, and build a supportive network of peers dedicated to driving positive change in education.

Educators' College Fair: Explore a curated selection of higher education institutions, career technology centers, and military partners designed to better inform you of student success opportunities. Discover more about what makes each institution or military partner uniquely them.

Registration Details:

The Summit is appropriate for anyone interested in supporting student development and achievement, including educators, counselors, and administrators from the preschool, elementary, secondary, and postsecondary education systems; workforce development professionals; community development specialists; business and community leaders; military; parents; and students!

There is no cost to attend the Summit; however, travel, lodging, and event parking expenses are the participant's responsibility. The event is being held at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.

ROOMS

Rooms are limited; please be timely in making your reservations. Due to the busy time of year and all of the wonderful events taking place in Charleston, additional rooms will not be requested as only a specific number of rooms at the group rate were contracted with each hotel. Once the group blocks have all been reserved, you may be able to reserve rooms outside of the group rate block depending on room availability. SCHEDULE

Early registration and conference check-in will begin at 3 p.m. on July 16th and continue until 7 p.m.

The conference will begin at 8:00 a.m. on July 17th and continue until 5 p.m. Check-in and a light breakfast will begin at 7:00 a.m.

Keynote speakers will be announced in the coming days.

On July 18th, the conference will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 2 p.m. Check-in and a light breakfast will begin at 7:00 a.m. that morning.

Space is available for up to 500 participants. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. You must register by July 1, 2024 to attend.

Join us for an enriching and informative experience at the Educators' College Fair, where we bring together esteemed educational higher education institutions, career technical centers, military partners, and passionate educators under one roof. This event aims to empower educators with the knowledge and resources to guide their students toward a brighter future. The Educators' College Fair will take place during the Student Success Summit.

At the Educators' College Fair, you will have the opportunity to:

1. Explore Diverse Educational Opportunities: Discover a wide range of colleges, universities, and educational programs tailored to the needs and interests of your students. From liberal arts colleges to technical institutes, there's something for every aspiring scholar.
