Student Success Summit
A P-20 Collaborative Event
The West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission, West Virginia Council for Community and Technical College Education, the West Virginia Department of Education, and West Virginia GEAR UP are pleased to announce that the 2024 Student Success Summit will be held in July 2024 at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center located in Charleston, WV. The Student Success Summit is a collaborative event focusing on creating seamless and supportive lifelong learning systems for our state's students.
The Summit is appropriate for anyone interested in supporting student development and achievement, including educators, counselors, and administrators from the pre-school, elementary, secondary, and postsecondary education systems; workforce development professionals; community development specialists; business and community leaders; military; parents; and students!
There is no cost to attend the Summit; however, travel, lodging, and event parking expenses, are the responsibility of the participant. The event is being held at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
ROOMS
Rooms are limited; please be timely in making your reservations. Due to the busy time of year and all of the wonderful events taking place in Charleston, additional rooms will not be requested as only a specific number of rooms at the group rate were contracted with each hotel. Once the group blocks have all been reserved, you may be able to reserve rooms outside of the group rate block depending on room availability. Thank you for your attention to this detail and your understanding.

PARKING
Please note that individuals are personally responsible for parking costs at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center. Parking is $5.00/day. Other options include walking from your hotel or parking at the Charleston Town Center Mall parking garage for $1.75/day. There is NO parking validation.
CEUS
Thank you for attending the 2023 Student Success Summit. We appreciate your patience as the online evaluation system, LPC CEU Certificates and Certificates of Completion were developed. Please follow the steps below to complete the evaluation and print your certificate.
For professional CEUs LPCs)

- Enter your email address used to register for the conference.
- Include your license number to receive the correct CEU certificate for credits. (Note: NBCC’s may wish to list their NBCC number; however, you will receive an LPC certificate. You will be responsible for verifying acceptance of these credits through NBCC.)
- Use the link above to access the evaluation system.
- Complete an evaluation for EACH session, you may wish to refer to the session document found on the evaluationlink to remember the sessions you attended.
- You must complete an evaluation for EVERY session to receive credit.
- LPC professionals - Once the evaluation is completed for ALL sessions you attended, a link to your certificate will pop-up. Click on the link to print your certificate.
- If you are unsure as to which sessions were available to receive CEUs, please review the CEU table at the evaluation link.
For certificates of attendance (all other professions)

STUDENT SHOWCASE:
K-12 and postsecondary student groups are invited to exhibit in the afternoon (times to be announced) during the Student Showcase. The Student Showcase is an opportunity for student groups, schools, and student organizations to showcase how they are becoming career ready through innovative, career-driven projects, programs, classes, clubs, events, and activities. Applications to be considered to host a table display and showcase a project will be announced very soon!
INFORMATION FOR EXHIBITORS
Public, non-profit, and for-profit organizations are invited to exhibit during the entirety of the Student Success Summit. The Exhibitors' Hall is the only opportunity for organizations (non-profit and for-profit), colleges, and universities to exhibit during this conference.
There is a charge to exhibit during the Summit:
For-profit organizations: $100
Non-profit organizations, colleges, and universities: $25
Details:
- Those wishing to have an exhibit in the Exhibitors' Hall should register at the link above.
- Exhibitors will be provided with a single 8' display table and table linens. Outlets will not be provided.
- Each exhibit must be staffed during the duration of the Student Success Summit.
- Space is limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
- There is a fee to exhibit during the Exhibitors' Hall; additionally, all exhibitors are asked to donate door prizes of up to $25 in value for conference participants (examples include t-shirts, gift cards, mousepads, etc.). Door prizes must be mailed to Heather McChesney (1018 Kanawha Boulevard East, Suite 700 Charleston, WV 25301)
- All individuals from a single organization should register as a group.
- Exhibitors who also plan to attend the Student Success Summit as conference participants should also reserve participant/presenter tickets at the link above.
